A compliance claim means the vendor's own page states it. We can't audit certificates. QR TIGER's enterprise page says "We are the only QR generator that is ISO 27001 certified"; Uniqode, Scanova and QRCodeKIT also claim ISO 27001.

Why this order

Criteria for this list: single sign-on and the plan it sits on, roles and admin controls, an API and its stated quota, compliance claims, and a published top-plan price. Each tool is ranked on what its own pages state. More stated items rank higher; a lower price breaks ties; where the order departs from that, the row says why. See how we compare.

GS1 badgeGS1 codes for product packaging

Retail checkout is moving from the linear barcode to QR codes that carry the GS1 Digital Link, which encodes a product's GTIN plus batch, serial and expiry data and also opens a web page. Uniqode says that with its platform "creating GS1-standard QR Codes is straightforward: just enter the GTIN, add batch, serial, and expiry details, and choose where the code should lead", publishes a Sunrise 2027 guide for consumer goods brands, and names the beauty manufacturer Maesa as a packaging customer. It does not state which plan includes GS1 codes. The QR Code Generator offers the same capability "powered by Uniqode". We have not yet checked the other six platforms for GS1 support and will add rows as we do.

8 questions to ask any vendor before you sign

  1. Can we redirect codes through our own domain, and on which plan?
  2. What is the API quota, and on which plan? (Uniqode states 250,000 requests a month from Core.)
  3. Where is scan data stored, and for how long?
  4. Can we export every code and its scan history?
  5. Do you support SAML SSO with our identity provider?
  6. Can admins limit who creates, edits or deletes codes?
  7. Is there an audit log of every change?
  8. How long is scan history kept? (Uniqode states lifetime on Business+.)

What we couldn't check: SLA response times and anything shown only in a sales demo.

Every fact above comes from the vendor's own pricing, help or trust pages, last read November 2026. Prices in USD unless marked. Prices change, so check the vendor's page before you buy.
